DAVID LYON/DEGI EREMIENYO STORM EKEREMO, OTHER LGAS RECEIVE THUNDEROUS WELCOME

There had been great crowds of Bayelsans across Local Governments of APC members, supporters defectors and well wishers following the Chief David Lyon/ Chief Degi Eremienyo Campaign train.
It would be recalled that Monday 21st October instant, occasioned the flag-off of the historic APC guber rally at Ogbia Town, Ogbia Local Government Area, the domain of former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan where the APC Notional Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his entourage were received most honourably.
That was a great occasion because there had never been any event like it in the history of Ogbia and Bayelsa State.  Apart from the unprecedented crowd that gave a thunderous welcome to the APC political leaders across Nigeria, the most significant aspect of the campaign was the defection by some of the Ogbia political front liners of the PDP to the APC.
When a former Speaker of old Rivers State and the Pion
eer Chaiman of  the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Bayelsa State Chapter, Rt. Hon. Claudius Enegesi, mounted the podium and announced that he had dumped the PDP for the APC it was a thunderous ovation to his defection. But that was just the beginning of the defections at Ogbia Town
The immediate past Chairman of the Bayelsa State Environmental Sanitation Authority, two times member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and CEO of Ayalla Hotels, Chief Robert Enogha also defected from the PDP to the APC.
Other defectors include:  A former Honorable Member of the National Assembly, Graham Ipigansi, immediate past Member of the National Assembly of Ogbia Federal Constituency, Hon Lady Sodaguwo Omoni, Member Bayelsa State House of Assembly, alias the Oracle of the House Chief (Hon) Eliton Osomu, and one of the former political appointees of Governor Dickson, Hon. Mike Ogiasa also defected amongst others.

And from that good start  had been the crowd all the way following the APC Governorship candidate and his running mate David Lyon and  Degi Eremienyo from community to community and from LGA to LGA it had been thunderous welcome and celebrations all the way with gales of defections.
Some of the LGAs and Communities visited include: Sabagrea, Opokuma and Kaiama in Kolokuma/Opokuma, LGA Egbemo Angalabiri, Peretorugbene, Toru  Ndoro and Ekeremo in Ekeremor LGA,
Olugbobiri in Southern/Ijaw LGA...

LYON AND DEGI WILL BRING PROSPERITY TO BAYELSA STATE-APC WOMEN LEADER

Count down to the governorship election scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold on the 16th of November 2019 in Bayelsa State, the women wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to win the election.
The State Women Leader of the APC, Synthia Princewill made this known to the public during an interview with the Golden Pen News in her office at the Party's Secretariat in the State capital, Yenagoa.
According to the Women Leader, the gubernatorial candidates of the APC, Chief David Lyon and Chief Biobarakuma Degi Eremienyo being men of proven integrity on assumption of duties as Governor and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, respectively shall put smile on the faces of the masses.
On how the Women Wing of the Party is working to  clinch victory at the election,  Synthia Princewill has this to say:
" The women of Bayelsa State are very happy that the APC had come out with the best candidates for the governorship election. Chief David Lyon, a successful business man and Chief Degi Eremienyo a successful career politician would bring their experiences to bare on their administration.
"They will not withhold salaries of workers, they will not deny retirees their retirement benefits, they will not cut salaries of workers or sack innocent employees, frustrate and or impoverish the people of the state like the PDP government has been doing over the years.
"The PDP Government had made Bayelsans miserable in their own land  in the past eight years, and as you can see, there are problems everywhere: Security problems, Academic problems, Unemployment problems, Poor salaries payment problems, salaries cut problems and the problems of mismanagement of finances "
The APC Women Leader told this medium, that thousands of women across communities, across political parties, across wards, and across Local Government Areas have defected to the APC in droves and assured of more defections as the campaigns continue. Hear this:
" You can see the crowd of women gathered here at the prayer ground, there are more, calling my phone line to join the APC and we are going to receive more of them as they come, because the PDP umbrella is thorne to pieces and all those our sisters that are coming to join us are welcome. I can assure you that we are now very ready to go out with our PVCS on the election day and celebrate our victory.." she concluded.

IDUMANGE CALLS ON NASS TO CREATE MORE LGAS FOR BAYELSA

There has been a renewed call on the National Assembly to create additional Local Government Areas in Bayelsa State in line with the 1999 Constitution.
Dr. John Idumange
The General Manager of Bayelsa State Broadcasting Corporation, Dr. John Idumange stated this during an interview with the Golden Pen News which paid him a courtesy visit in his office in  Yenagoa.
He said it was unfair that the National Assembly had not acted the law for refusing or denying the people of Bayelsa State on the creation of not less than two (2) or more Local  Government Areas as per the Constitution of our Country, Nigeria.
Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan
John Idumange who is also a Human and People's Rights Activist said the National Assembly should  consider the deficit of Local Governments in Bayelsa as a constitutional matter of public interest, and  in earnest create additional Local Government Areas to complete 10  or more. Hear this:
" The National Assembly should treat this as a special case, Bayelsa deserves fair treatment as per the provision of the Constitution that every state should have at least 10 Local Government Areas, but at 23 years, the National Assembly is yet to fulfill the Law", Dr  Idumange
said.
He posited that such a matter of public interest need not be politcised or ignored by the Nation's Parliament which has the sole Constitutional Right and responsibility to correct the number of Local Government Areas for Bayelsa State.
Talking about the gap of inequality in the number of Local Government Areas between states, the General Manager made the following observation, reads:
"Bayelsa is the most viable State for a considerable number of Local Government Areas to be created based on the Nigerian Oil and Gas driven economy which had it's foundation from the soil of Bayelsa.
But whereas Kano state alone has 44 Local Governments,  Katsina 34, Oyo 34 and Osun 30, Bayelsa is still left with just 8 Local Government Areas."
He therefore appealed to the National Assembly to without further delay create additional Local Government Areas for Bayelsa to fulfill the requirements of the Constitution on creation of States.

Chief David Lyon
The Governorship Candidate of the APC

OSHIOMHOLE WARNS DICKSON OVER WITHDRAWAL OF BAYELSA FUNDS....

As Nigeria's largest  political party the All Progressives Congress APC, flags-off her gubernatorial campaign at Ogbia Town, Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria, the Chairman, Comrade  Adams Oshiomhole had given a marching order to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr.Henry Seriake Dickson to make himself available for inspection of the Cargo airport  project he claimed to  have built, for the APC to ascertain the true cost of the Airport, it's functionality and why he (Seriake Dickson) had neither landed nor flew out of that airport, but always traveled through Port Harcourt.
The vibrant and excited APC National leader also sent another word to the Bayelsa Governor who he calls his good friend to be careful with withdrawals of funds from the state treasury to avoid unpleasant consequences.
He used the medium to assure Dickson that David Lyon is a gentleman who will not go for a physical or gun battle with  anyone, but will use the voters cards to defeat the PDP and take over the state, come 16th November 2019, Oshiomhole emphasized.
On the choice of David Lyon as Governor the APC National Leader lauded the APC Leader of Bayelsa  State former Governor and the Minister of Petroleum for state on that vision, while anticipating a undeniable victory for the APC at t he Governorship polls  come 16th November instant.
Comrade Oshiomhole who added "Gold"to the names of Chief Timipre Sylva also appreciated the Ogbia People for the warm reception accorded the APC entourage.
Earlier in his speech, the APC Leader of Bayelsa, former Governor, and Oil Minister for state Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva gave praises to the people of Ogbia Kingdom for being pace setters to the life of the Nigerian  nation.. Hear him;
The Ogbia Kingdom is known for beginning many good things in Nigeria. In 1956 Oil was discovered in Ogbia Kingdom and it has continued to be the mainstay of the Nation's economy.
"We of the South-South had been waiting to have the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and it started from Ogbia Kingdom. So, we are more then happy to come and tap the blessings of Ogbia land"
Chief Sylva announced.
He used the medium to graphically explain how the nigh eight years administration of Seriake Dickson led PDP Government had impoverished the land and people of Bayelsa State and gave a startling revelations of how the funds accruing to the state were mismanaged.
Chief Sylva told the listening crowd that out of a whopping amount of N1.6 trillion that Dickson had received, all that he had continued to emphasize to have done as a major achievement was a 'cargo airport', while the amount said to have been spent on the controversial airport project  being collosal far above every other airport  project across the world.
Sylva used the medium to announce good tidings to the people of Bayelsa in the coming of Chief David Lyon and Chief Biobarakuma Degi Eremienyo as Governor and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State respectively.
Also speaking, the APC Governorship candidate, Chief David Lyon said he has come to serve the people of Bayelsa State to make life meaningful to them and not to impoverish them.
He made it clear that though Bayelsa had been facing two dire challenges "insecurity and darkness"  assured that as a security expert,  his administration will pay prioty attention to that, and also address the challenge of darkness, while assuring the Ogbia People of restoration of the Kolo Creek Gas Turbine on assumption of duties as Governor.
The climax of the occasion was the presentation of the party's flag to the candidate, Chief David Lyon and the running mate, Chief Biobarakuma Degi Eremienyo and a gale of defectors from the PDP supporters to the APC.

FRESH TROUBLES FOR AITEO, AS FIRM FILES BANKRUPTCY ACTION AGAINST THE OIL GIANT

Oil multinational , Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Company Limited, the firm that acquired the juicy OML 29 oil bloc in Bayelsa State from Shell Petroleum Development Company in 2015, may either be fishing in troubled waters or indeed, swimming in same, as a Port Harcourt-based company, Charlietam International Services Limited Tuesday (15th Oct 2019)  filed an  action before the Federal High Court in Lagos to commence winding-up proceedings against the oil giant for its prolonged inability to pay a debt of N259,068,753.00 owed the company for various services rendered between December 2017 and March 2019.
Benedict Peters
CEO of AITEO
Information reaching us indicates the petition was filed by the company, one of Aiteo’s contractors, through its Solicitors, Anthony Enyindah, Victor Okezie and Dr Dickson Omukoro of Ntephe Smith & Wills.
The petitioner is praying the court to wind-up the company on grounds of insolvency pursuant to sections 408 and 409(a) of the Company and Allied Matters Act.
In a six paragraph affidavit verifying the petition, Mr Unye Sunday Micah, Managing Director of Charlietam International Services Limited, affirmed that between December 2017 to March 2019, his company rendered services valued at ₦265,068,753.00 and was only paid the sum of ₦6million without payment advice, leaving an outstanding balance of N259,068,753.00.
The petitioner averred that several demand letters, including those from the petitioner's solicitors were sent to the Company's Abuja and Lagos addresses, but as usual Aiteo refused or/ failed to respond to any of the letters. The final demand letter dated 28th August 2019, was sent by the petitioner pursuant to sections 408 and 409 (a) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act. In the said letter, the petitioners demanded to be paid amount owed and informed Aiteo of an impending legal action. The petition, accordingly read in part, "More than twenty-one (21) days have since elapsed from the last demand without the Company making good the moneys owed as aforesaid. The petition further stated that the Company is insolvent and unable to pay its debt and your Petitioner therefore humbly prays as follows:
"That the Court, under the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 1990, winds-up AITEO EASTERN E & P COMPANY LIMITED; and for such further or other orders as this Court may deem fit to make in the circumstances."
Symbol of Justice
The Petitioner also alleged that Aiteo is indebted to several of its Local Contractors, cumulatively to the tune of billions of naira and the said sums have remained unpaid despite repeated demands.
A motion of notice filed before the court and brought under Rule 19 of the Winding-Up Rules of the Companies and Allied Matters Act also stated, ‘‘take notice that this Honourable Court will be moved on the...day of…2019 at the hour of 9 O’ clock in the forenoon or soon thereafter as the Petitioner/Applicant or Counsel on its behalf may be heard praying for: An order granting leave to the Petitioner to have this Petition advertised according to the law pursuant to Rule 19 of the Companies Winding-up Rules, by advertising the Petition once in:  One National Daily Newspaper, and one other Newspaper circulating in Lagos being the city where the registered address and/or principal place of business of the Company is situated and such further order or Orders as this Honourable Court may deem fit to make in the circumstances’’.
No date has been fixed for hearing of the petition which is expected to generate a lot of interest in the local and international oil business community particularly in Bayelsa State where Aiteo has, since August 2015, been locked in a legal battle with its host communities before Hon. Justice A. O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court 2, Yenagoa.
OML 29 is probably the largest oil producing onshore bloc in sub Saharan Africa with a maze of multi-billion oil and gas assets including the famous Nembe Creek Trunk Line which conveys crude oil to the Bonny Export Terminal. It was initially operated by SPDC since 1962. But in 2015, Aiteo acquired ownership of the bloc and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line from Shell Petroleum for $2.7billion in a process the host communities described as flawed and unethical.
It would be recalled that the license expired on June 30, 2019 amidst grave speculations that it may have been surreptitiously renewed by the regulatory authorities after an initial down payment of $82million was reportedly made by Aiteo, despite the suit filed by the host communities which sought to, among other things halt the renewal and bring the oil company to account for years of cumulative environmental injustice and corporate social irresponsibility and neglect.

PUBLISHER AT APC SECRETARIAT, DECLARES SUPPORT FOR DAVID LYON/DEGI-EREMIENYO GOVERNORSHIP TICKET

From right Chief Martin's Alabo and
Chief Evans Tubonah
As the date scheduled for the Bayelsa State Governorship Election by the electoral umpire INEC, 16th November 2019 draws closer, there had been upsurge of politicians defecting seriously from every other party to the APC following the emergence of the Chief David Lyon and Chief Degi Eremienyo as the APC candidate and running mate respectively.
This wears the look of a very serious election that touches almost all sectors of the economy, which means it does not just begin and end with partisan politicians but with the masses of the state.
This might be the reason behind the gale of defections by some leaders and staunch members of the ruling party in the State PDP defecting in droves to the APC in  anticipation of good governance  and prosperous statehood with David Lyon and Degi Eremienyo at the helms of affairs as Governor and Deputy Governor come November 16th  2019.
And that is the state of mind with  both the public and private sectors, all praying for a people oriented government that will take the state to the level the founding fathers have desired.
The founding fathers led by Brambaifa had declared support for the forthcoming David Lyon/Gegi Eremienyo administration.
It is not a small thing that majority of the political gladiators of the PDP before and immediately after the Governorship primaries of the PDP have taken a greater part of the umbrella and entered into the 'Ark of the APC', which is big enough to accommodate millions of defectors.
Non Governmental Organizations across the state have in their numbers declared support, women groups in their numbers, Community based Organizations, the opinion leaders all and sundry have declared support.
The media is also part of the society and being a critical stakeholders had always played key roles at elections. And that informed the visit, by Chief Otonye Evans Tubonah Publisher Editor-in-Chief of Golden Pen Newspapers to personally visit the office of the State Secretary of the APC, Chief Martins Alabo received the Publisher with a warm handshake.
In a brief moment, the Golden Pen Publisher,  Chief Evans Tubonah told the youthful, brilliant, humble receptive State Secretary of the APC, Chief Martins Alabo that the state media has a responsibility to market the manifestos of political parties and ideologies of candidates to the electorates, which the Publisher emphasized as very important to transition programme.
Chief Evans Tubonah graphically explained that though he and his  colleagues are not  card carrying members of any political party, they are critical stakeholders and opinion leaders that are duty bound to play their Constitutional role to inform, enlighten and entertain the masses.
To that end he called on the APC Leader to forward. Press Releases,  policy statements, advertorials etc to the state media for effective dissertation.
In his response, the APC  Secretary of Bayelsa State, Chief  Martins Alabo thanked the Publisher for the visit assuring of a symbiotic relationship between the APC and the Media in the state and beyond.
Chief Alabo used the medium to inform the Publisher that, the APC will soon flag-off  her Governorship campaign and  urged the Media to attend.

PDP WITHOUT GOODLUCK AT GUBER FLAG-OFF, NOT A DANGEROUS SIGNAL?

His Excellency
Dr  Goodluck Jonathan
Dr. Goodluck Ebele Aziwe Jonathan had been no doubts the most prominent PDP Political fatherly figure in Nigeria, especially in  Bayelsa State. Dr. Jonathan started well his political career been the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, the first deputy Governor at that. He rose ahead at the nick of time in the PDP to the NO 1 seat of the nation, the Presidency.
Dr. Jonathan truly loved his party, the PDP, and he demonstrated that in his humility. Whenever political attention was needed of him by the PDP family Goodluck Jonathan always paid priority attention to that, and that made him a political father indeed of the PDP nationwide.
The last public political gathering he attended might not be far from that of the flag-off of the immediate past gubernatorial primaries.
Yesterday's flag-off of the forthcoming Governorship Election by the PDP faced a great challenge copiously due to the absence of the father of the party, Dr Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan and other key players.
It was observed that the yuletide atmosphere associated with such  occasions in the past did not apply here, and that may not be unconnected to the fact that some of the Local Government Areas PDP members did not surface with their bus  loads of wards delegates as was the norm
However, Golden Pen reliably gathered that the immediate past PDP primaries won by Senator Douye Diri had torn the umbrella party to shreds. Politics is a game just like football or every other game, but that is not usually the case with Bayelsan politicians, whenever they noticed an iota  of oppression and or impunity from any advantaged individual or group they don't use to take kindly or lie low.
Why the former President was not at yesterday's historic event organized by the PDP, according to reliable sources was that the former president had washed his hands off PDP affairs for the next six months. Dr Jonathan acted 'Pontus Pilate' , not because he had left the party, but because the Ogbia People have also taken the moves by the former President as a wise decision our source said.
That situation informed the gale of defections by most of the political gladiators of Ogbia Local Government Area PDP members and their followers to the APC.
In Nembe the Nembe Local Government Area, the story is the same, almost all the PDP strongest supporters have resolutely turned their backs against the PDP and had embraced the APC.
The story is the same of Brass Local Government Area which had been APC dominated, all the while, but information is rife that defections by other members of the PDP.,.. to the APC awaits the flag-off the APC Governorship campaigns.
The Landlords of Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa, the people of  Epie/Atisa were widely published through the media of their mass defection from the PDP to the APC, penultimate week.
This is not the first time the PDP is having post election crisis. It had happened always, and efficiently managed by experi itenced crisis managers who had done agrat feat before now.
But the worry of the moment according to some 'egg heads' in the PDP family is the absence of the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan who shall be away for about six months according to the information.
Besides that, the victory of Senator Douye Diri at the PDP Governorship primaries had torn the umbrella (the symbol of the PDP) to shreds, with most of the guber aspirants who lost by all means, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) .
The Governorship Election comes up on the 16th of November. 2019.

WOMAN RECEIVES N1MILLION IN PROPHET JEREMIAH'S CHURCH

Today at the Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, Warri, Delta State, South/South Nigeria, Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, turned around the story of a woman, a mother of four from poverty to riches, from bitter cries to tears of joy, from no money to millionaire.
While the service was going-on there were many remarkable things that happened, a lot of miracles, healing deliverances and prophecies, were talking place after a yawoo man was delivered,  the man of God prophesied  about a certain woman in the house of solution, who gave her her name as Eshter was blessed with a whopping amount of one million Naira  Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin located the woman in the House of solution describing her designed cloth with green color, with a UBA cheque book with two leaves in her hand, her husband had ran away leaving their four children under her care with nothing, the cheque he gave to her fake, no money in the account and
that she is a Mercy TV. partner.
The Prophet called her out and told her that God personally called her name to him to bless her and shocked the congregation that there must be a balloting , if see she picks any of the 3 ballots he was going to write 1. N0 2.N500,000 3.N600,000, he wrote on the 3 ballots accordingly, rumpled them and dropped on the floor before the praying and weeping Esther to pick.
It was a tense moment not only for  those in Church, but also viewers of MERCY TV all over the world that God of Jeremiah should favour Esther not to pick zero, and as God would have it, she picked the ballot for N500,000 and there was a great joy in the house of the Lord.
But as the celebrations subsided,a little, philanthropic Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin
announced a donation of N100,000 to make N600,000 , while he also announced another donation of N400,000 to equal N1000,000.
Esther who was poor few hours before her encounter with God was now rich, she that was crying, was now smiling and laughing.
Glory be to the God of Jeremiah she prayed  waving her hand to heaven and departed out of camera view.
